The Population Scientists’ Association (PSA) website has been developed as a national platform dedicated to strengthening the role of demographic research in shaping Uganda’s development agenda. Designed to serve researchers, policymakers, students, and development partners, the platform reflects PSA’s commitment to bridging research, policy, and practice.

At its core, the website is intended to foster intellectual exchange among professionals engaged in population and development work. It provides a central space where scientific research, policy-relevant evidence, and emerging demographic issues can be accessed, shared, and discussed. By making research outputs more visible and accessible, PSA aims to enhance informed decision-making at national and institutional levels.

The platform supports PSA’s objectives by:

  • Showcasing demographic and population research, including journal articles and policy briefs.
  • Providing information about conferences, seminars, workshops, and scientific meetings.
  • Creating opportunities for collaboration and networking among members and partner institutions.
  • Offering resources that build capacity among students and early-career population scientists.
  • Promoting engagement between researchers and policymakers to strengthen evidence-based programming.

In addition, the website serves as a communication channel to amplify Uganda’s demographic discourse. It highlights critical population trends, encourages dialogue on emerging issues, and supports the dissemination of reliable data and analysis.

By consolidating research, partnerships, and professional engagement in one accessible space, the PSA website is intended to become a trusted source of demographic expertise and a catalyst for policy-relevant research in Uganda.
